Excess amounts of water run down Dimple Lane, Roes Lane and Wheatcroft Lane. This is partly the result of heavy rain but where it is a consequence of blocked drains these will be reported to DCC Highways.
There is continuing concern about dog waste and about the failure of dog owners to clear the mess Clerk reminded the meeting that dog waste (sealed in plastic bags) can be put into ordinary litter bins.
There are two grit bins at the bottom of Amber Hill - one should be at the top. Also the new grit bin on Hollies Lane is in the wrong position – Cllr. Bown offered to review the current situation.
The footpath adjacent to the Recreation Ground is spoilt by litter. AVBC will be asked to do a clean-up.
Parking is a problem at many locations especially on Jefferies Lane and around The Beeches. Parking on pavements and in other areas which constitute an obstruction should be reported to the Police AT THE TIME OF THE OFFENCE. Where careless parking creates a problem for a disabled person they should seek the help of the Amber Valley Access Group .

PCSO Donna Shaw reported that only one crime had been reported in the Parish during the past month.
She paid tribute to the work of Chair in setting up and organising the Youth Club which was proving to be very popular. The Police have made an award to Cllr. Lane for her energetic efforts with the club.
Chair took this opportunity to publicly thank the Police (particularly Donna and P.C. Peter Wilbourne) for their support, encouragement and financial assistance. She also thanked her husband David for the great deal of help and advice he had given in sourcing and setting up the electronic equipment.
Cty. Cllr. Jackson was not able to be present.

DCC began to fulfil the grit and grit bin order during w/c 23.11.09. Cllr. Bown offered to review the situation again to see if even more grit bins are needed
The small Christmas trees attached to buildings are already drawing compliments. Chair expressed thanks to Cllrs. Clark and Bown for their hard work.
Allotments:
P Barnicoat was awarded the contract for clearing the badly overgrown allotment
Clerk will liaise with Ken Briddon and Crich Carr Primary School regarding repair of the damaged track
Contract for mowing etc. of RG and BG – Clerk will seek estimates.
Wheatsheaf Lane light – Clerk will consult with residents.
Cllr. Clark (Chair of Finance) amplified the written report. Recommendations regarding grants/donations for the current round were adopted unanimously, cheques will be signed at the January meeting.
The claim for a precept of £34000 for the Financial Year 2010-11 was agreed and signed .
