The Silent Arrival
- All is still with no birds in flight
- And all dreaming dreams while asleep
- Shadows darkening with all their might
- Small creatures are warm in their keep
- The silent arrival during the night
- Not a movement or sound would occur
- All oblivious until first morning light
- When everyone awakes and does stir
- To stand transfixed and with eyes wide bright
- As the scene surveyed is perplexing
- A shake of the head to the left and the right
- It is extremely vexing
- But, what a truly magnificent sight
- A transformidable show
- All of the countryside covered in white
- Mother Nature's pure virgin snow
The computer swallowed grandma
- The computer swallowed grandma.
- Yes, honestly its true!
- She pressed 'control' and 'enter'
- And disappeared from view.
- It devoured her completely,
- The thought just makes me squirm.
- She must have caught a virus
- Or been eaten by a worm.
- I've searched through the recycle bin
- And files of every kind;
- I've even used the Internet,
- But nothing did I find.
- In desperation, I asked Google
- My searches to refine.
- The reply from it was negative,
- Not a thing was found 'online.'
- So, if inside your 'Inbox,'
- My Grandma you should see,
- Please 'Copy,''Scan' and 'Paste' her
- And send her back to me.
This is a tribute to all the Grandmas who have been fearless and...
learned to use the Computer........
