The Education Department at the Tramway Museum will be holding a Reminiscence Day on Sunday, July 18th as a starting point for a community project with the village. The ‘Talking Museum’ project is supported by Renaissance East Midlands and aims to encourage community participation through developing partnerships with local schools and community groups. We want people with memories of the museum starting here in the late fifties and sixties to tell us about the impact on the village; did they like it, hate it, did they come and see what was happening, etc? We want to encourage old and young to work together to produce a film that will be produced, scripted and presented by the community that can be part of an exhibition at the museum and in the village. Anyone from Crich is welcome to drop in anytime between 10.00 and 3.00, all we ask is that they bring something to talk about (photos, diaries, etc) and something with their name and address on to show they live in the village.
