At the end of the spring term Mrs White retired from our school after working for thirteen years as a mid-day supervisor. Mrs Bradley retired from her post as senior mid-day supervisor at the end of the summer term after serving twenty-five years at the school. Mrs Bradley and Mrs White have made an invaluable contribution to our school and have taught many of our children how to use a knife and fork, cut up lots of school dinners and reminded many children to say “please” and “thank you”! Their roles often extended beyond lunchtime, each of them accompanying the children on many school trips to the zoo and Lea Green activity centre.
Mrs White and Mrs Bradley both enjoyed celebratory assemblies in which the children sang many of their favourite songs and gifts were presented to say thank you. They will both be sadly missed from school and everyone at Crich C of E Infant School wishes them a long and happy retirement.
In September we welcomed our new children to our reception class – the Acorn class. The Acorn children have settled well and are enjoying all the activities the school has to offer.
