Newsletter Spring 2010

We welcome Caroline Forrest who has joined our Team of Practice Nurses. Caroline has a special interest in Diabetes and Women’s health.

Hopefully now the memories of the dreadful winter weather are fading and some of you are planning a holiday to
warmer climes! Please remember that if you need to come to the Surgery for travel vaccinations, you will need to make
an appointment to see the Practice Nurse at least six weeks before you travel for certain vaccinations to be effective
and to ensure we have the actual vaccine available. We will always try to accommodate your requirements but this is not always possible at late notice and if we cannot fit you in to see the Nurse before you travel you can always obtain your vaccinations at a Travel Centre near to you.

With reference to the bad weather we experienced at the beginning of the year, some patients understandably could
not make their appointments but we would appreciate it very much if you could let us know if you are not coming
to your appointment. This is even more important in bad weather as clinical staff may be staying at the surgery purely
to see any patients who are booked into their clinics before trying to make their own way home.

If you are using the Crich Medical Practice website to request your repeat medication and find this useful (or not) and have any comments, please let us know so we can improve our service to you. Remember to allow 48 hours for collection of your medications if you have requested they be sent to Crich Chemist – or the pharmacies at Holloway and South Wingfield surgeries. Allow 24 hours if you are picking up your paper prescription from Crich Surgery.
